Divisions régionales
Connecting geographers across Canada
The regional divisions of the Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG) play an important role in supporting geographic scholarship, collaboration, and professional engagement across Canada.
These divisions provide opportunities for students, educators, researchers, and professionals to connect through regional conferences, workshops, networking events, and academic initiatives.
Each division reflects the unique geographic perspectives, communities, and research interests within its region while supporting the broader mission of the CAG: advancing the study, teaching, and application of geography in Canada and beyond.
Through their activities, the regional divisions encourage knowledge sharing, promote geographic education, and strengthen connections among members working in universities, government, private industry, and local communities.
The CAG currently includes regional divisions representing Atlantic Canada, Quebec, Ontario, the Prairies, and Western Canada.

Western Division (WDCAG)
Serving geographers across Western Canada through regional events and collaboration.

Prairie Division (PCAG)
Connecting geographers throughout the Prairie provinces through shared research, events, and community engagement.

Ontario Division (CAGONT)
Bringing together geographers across Ontario to foster academic exchange and regional collaboration.

Québec Division (RGO)
Supporting the geography community across Québec through bilingual collaboration, research initiatives, and regional events.

Atlantic Division (ACAG)
Uniting geographers throughout Atlantic Canada through networking, knowledge sharing, and regional partnerships.
